Satisfied with his progress, Izan showered and dressed before heading down for breakfast.
Later, his mom, Komi, drove him and his sister, Hori, to school.
"Have a nice day, Miura," Komi said.
"You too, Mom. And don't forget my football bag when you pick me up," Izan reminded her.
At school, he struggled to focus, often caught daydreaming.
"Mr. Miura," Miss Rodriguez, his physics teacher, sighed. "Being top of the class doesn't mean you can slack off. Pay attention."
Izan scratched his head, laughing sheepishly.
The day dragged on until the final bell rang. Izan packed his things quickly and found his mom already waiting.
"Huh, you're early," he remarked, spotting Hori in the car as well.
Komi then drove them to the Valencia Youth Academy, where Izan got out and headed to the locker room while his mom and sister made their way to the stands.

Match Begins
12' – GOAL!
Alboraya capitalized on a defensive mistake. Their winger dribbled down the flank and delivered a precise cross into the box. Balogun met it with a well-timed header—1-0 Alboraya!
Coach Oryazabal fumed on the sidelines.
15' – PENALTY!
Íñigo Martínez sliced through Valencia's midfield, entering the box before being brought down by Gon Simón. The referee pointed to the spot.
Balogun stepped up and coolly slotted the ball into the net. 2-0 Alboraya!
To make matters worse, Marcos Blaca suffered an injury just before halftime.
Halftime – Coach Oryazabal's Outburst
"What the heck was that? Sloppy passing, poor decision-making—this is unacceptable!"
His frustration filled the locker room, making everyone tense—except Izan, who chuckled in the corner.
"This won't do," Oryazabal said, sighing. "Izan, warm up. You're coming in for Marcos."
Izan, mid-sip from his water bottle, nearly choked. "Huh? Okay, Coach!"
Outside, he started warming up, occasionally glancing at the stands. Spotting his mom, he waved.
"Hori, look! Your brother's going in," Komi said excitedly.
Hori glanced up briefly from her phone. "About time."
As the second half kicked off, Izan stepped onto the pitch wearing the number 21 jersey.
Second Half - Izan Takes Control
The commentator checked the match sheet.
"Oh, a change for Valencia! Number 21—Izan Miura Hernández. Only 14 years old? He doesn't look it! Let's see if he can turn things around."
Coach Oryazabal switched tactics, moving to a 4-3-1-2 formation with Izan as the central attacking midfielder.
From the restart, Valencia looked sharper, but one player **stood out—**Izan.
He controlled the midfield, stabilizing possession and tracking back defensively. Alboraya pushed forward aggressively, but Izan read the game well, snuffing out attacks and organizing Valencia's play.
38' – GOAL!
Izan pressured an Alboraya midfielder into a mistake, stealing the ball.
He surged forward, weaving past two defenders with a mix of pace and control. A defense-splitting through ball!
Adeyemi latched onto it, entered the box, and fired—GOAL!
The commentator shouted: "Goooooooolazo!!!"
"Amazing vision from Izan! A perfectly weighted pass, and Adeyemi buries it! Alboraya 2, Valencia 1!"
Coach Oryazabal clenched his fist, relieved.
"Izan… that kid is special," he muttered.
The scoreboard flashed: Alboraya 2-1 Valencia.
The referee signaled for the game to restart. Valencia had 22 minutes left—enough time for a comeback.
